Kanji - Indian Probiotic Drink
Bare Beet Brew
glass jar
2 each beet, large, coarse chopped
5 each carrots, coarse chopped
1 each parsnip
3 each garlic cloves (pealed and crushed)
1 each Turnip (coarse chopped)
1 tbsp Mustard Seeds, Brown, ground (use coffee grinder)
1 inch Ginger, coarse chopped
1 each Thai Chili, stem and seeds removed
4 tbsp Sea Salt for 1 gallon of water (Creates 2% salt brine or 3/4 teaspoon of salt for 1 cup of water.)
1 gallon Water, non-chlorinated
2 capsule Lactobacillus reuteri strain
2 capsule Lactobacillus casei (Available in Nature’s Bounty - Probiotic 10, which contains Lactobacillus casei Lc-11)
1 tbsp sauerkraut brine (Costco sells Wildbrine, which is raw organic sauerkraut. Ingredients - organic green cabbage, sea salt and organic garlic.)
2 tbsp Bare Beet Brew (use as a starter from previous batch)
Pour water into glass jar, leave 1-2 inches of headspace
Cover with coffee filter or cheese cloth. Keep on kitchen counter for 7-10 days. Stir every other day to prevent mold on the surface and redistributes probiotics.
Strain off the liquid and pour into swing-top bottles (air-tight bottles). Place in the refrigerator up to 1-2 months.
Pour the leftover pickled vegetables into a Vitamix blender. Add a whole lemon and water. Puree. Pour into ice cube trays to freeze. Add 5 of these cubes to your morning potassium drink.
Drink a glass before going to bed. Around 2am liver will detox. Expect to see health results (clear skin, weight loss, better sleep, and SIBO die off in the gut) after 1 month of use.
